VSO Helps Veteran With Final Claim 

Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) veteran service officers (VSOs) can expedite claims to help veterans live out their final years in relative comfort. 

One Vietnam veteran recently filed a claim for prostate cancer. A VSO submitted an Intent to File form and helped the veteran gather all relevant evidence and submit his claim, specifying priority processing since the veteran’s cancer had been diagnosed as terminal. It took just three months to approve the veteran at 100% permanent and total (P&T) disability with back pay.
